Biological properties and a plasmid characteristic of Escherichia coli bacteria under the conditions of cryopreservation

Biological properties and a plasmid characteristic of Escherichia coli bacteria under the conditions of cryopreservation

Abstract

It has been established that a 10 % concentration of glycerin, PEO-400, DMSO does not result in the death of the plasmid strains of E. coli and will not cause a loss by these strains of Hly-plasmid and plasmids which have the genes of resistance to antibiotics: ampicillin, cephalotin, canamycin. Cryopreservation also provides the preservation of the biochemical properties of bacteria used for this genus identification.
