EVALUATION OF THE CRITERIA OF CONVERSION IN CASE OF LAPAROSCOPIC APPENDECTOMY

Abstract

The authors have analyzed the treatment of 38 patients with acute appendicitis in whom during laparoscopic appendectomy a need for conversion arose. It has been found out that the basic systemic factors were the terms since the onset of the disease, the age of a patient and the presence of concomitant cardiopulmonary pathology. The local factors were the signs of diffuse peritonitis, the anatomical peculiarities of the appendix and the nature of its inflammation.
