A RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF THE PROBLEM OF FORMING THE PROFESSIONAL CULTURE OF FUTURE DESIGNERS IN FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS

Abstract

The article provides a retrospective analysis of the problem of forming the professional culture of future designers through the prism of the experience of foreign and domestic educational systems. The authors study the main approaches to the professional training of designers in the leading countries of the world – the USA, Great Britain and Germany, comparing them with the educational programmes, methods and technologies used in domestic higher education institutions. The analysis identifies the key components of professional culture, including technical, ethical, communication and creative skills that form the basis of the competence of future designers. Particular attention is paid to the integration of theoretical and practical competences, which is a prerequisite for the training of competitive design professionals. The article emphasises the importance of a harmonious combination of scientific research, innovative technologies and practical experience in the process of forming the professional culture of designers, which has a direct impact on their future professional activities. In addition, the authors consider the current challenges facing modern higher design education, including the insufficient level of practical training of students, outdated educational programmes, and a lack of flexibility in adapting to rapidly changing global design trends. An important aspect is the need to update educational programmes and modernise methods, taking into account the latest technologies and approaches used in the worldʼs leading countries. The article provides specific recommendations for improving domestic educational programmes for designers, focusing on the best international practices, as well as adapting them to the peculiarities and requirements of the Ukrainian labour market. The author emphasises the need for continuous modernisation of educational programmes and curricula to ensure a high level of training of specialists capable of working effectively in the context of globalisation and rapid technological change. The article aims to improve the quality of design education in Ukraine and promote the development of competitive personnel who meet the requirements of the modern labour market.
