The criteria for estimation the effectiveness of methods for data compression are formulated and proposed a system of common numerical characteristics for redundancy reduction algorithm comparing between them is proposed

Сформульовані критерії оцінки ефективності методів стиснення інформації та запропоновано систему єдиних числових характеристик для порівняння алгоритмів зменшення надлишковості між собою

Сформулированы критерии оценки эффективности методов сжатия информации и предложена система единых числовых характеристик для сравнения алгоритмов уменьшения избыточности между собой
