The article highlights the experience of the ScientificLibrary of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy (NBUIPA) in work in the field of bibliography and scientometrics, providesthe results of comprehensive monitoring of the scientific potential of thehigher education institution, identifies problems and priorities for furtherwork in this direction. Attention is focused on the fact that scientificlibraries and libraries of institutions of higher education take an active partin the process of monitoring the scientific potential of the institution. Eachlibrary has its own approaches and methods of providing services to support bibliometrics and scientometrics according to the tasks set beforeit. The professional competences of librarians of the NB UIPA, whichcontribute to this activity, are listed. The set of actions that were performedat each stage of comprehensive monitoring of the scientific potential ofUIPA is disclosed: preparatory, search, verification and final stage. It isnoted that the results of the work carried out contributed to theimprovement of the representation of scientists of the academy in thevirtual scientific environment and a positive effect on the growth of therating of scientists, departments and the academy as a whole. Scientists areoffered recommendations that would contribute to the growth of their ownrating. It is emphasized that creating one's own profile in authoritativespecialized scientific services and its optimization will help scientists toeffectively present their own scientific publications, find new like-mindedcolleagues, open up new opportunities for funding scientific research andimprove their scientific metrics. And assistants in this are librarians whoare constantly improving their professional skills as informationnavigators in the areas of bibliography and scientometrics, as one of themain areas of work of a library of a higher education institution.

У статті висвітлено досвід Наукової бібліотекиУкраїнської інженерно-педагогічної академії (НБ УІПА) з питаньроботи у напрямі бібліо- та наукометрії, надано результатиздійсненого комплексного моніторингу наукового потенціалу вишу,визначено проблеми та пріоритети подальшої роботи у цьомунапрямі. Акцентовано увагу на тому, що наукові бібліотеки табібліотеки закладів вищої освіти (ЗВО) беруть активну участь упроцесі моніторингу наукового потенціалу установи. Кожнабібліотека має власні підходи та методики надання послуг зпідтримки бібліо- та наукометрії згідно поставлених перед неюзавдань. Перераховано професійні компетенції бібліотекарів НБУІПА, які сприяють цій діяльності. Розкрито комплекс дій, яківиконувались на кожному етапі комплексного моніторингунаукового потенціалу УІПА: підготовчого, пошукового, етапуперевірки та заключного. Зазначено, що результати проведеноїроботи сприяли покращенню показника представленості науковцівакадемії у віртуальному науковому середовищі та позитивномувпливу на зростання рейтингу науковців, кафедр та академії в цілому.Науковцям вишу запропоновані рекомендації, які би сприялизростанню власного рейтингу. Наголошено, що створення власногопрофілю в авторитетних спеціалізованих наукових сервісах та йогооптимізація допоможе вченим ефективно представити власні науковіпублікації, знайти нових колег-однодумців, відкрити новіможливості для фінансування наукових досліджень та підвищити свої наукометричні показники. І помічниками в цьому є бібліотечніпрацівники, які постійно вдосконалюють свої професійні навичкиінформаційних навігаторів з питань бібліо- та наукометрії як одногоіз основних напрямів роботи бібліотеки закладу вищої освіти.
