Полезная тяга судового пропульсивного кайта

Abstract

The kite’s work in the air stream acting on it, caused by a true wind and course during ship moving, has been considered. Transformation of kite’s aerodynamic force in the lift and lateral forces and ship propulsion kite’s traction has been represented. It is noted that for ship, which tote a kite, appears an additional water drag. This drag is caused by deviation of rudder from center line to maintain the ship on course, additional list and trim, which caused by the kite traction, because rope is attached to the upper bow of the ship. Useful kite’s traction is less than its propulsive traction on the value of the additional drag — has been shown. Here propulsive traction — it’s a part of the kite’s aerodynamic force in the direction of ship’s move. Graphically and analytically useful traction dependence on the speed and angle of an apparent wind applying to the SkySails kite has been represented. This dependence can be used, for example, to solve a number of problems in determining the appropriateness of the kite on the transport ship and to match its main low-speed engines.

Представлена трансформация аэродинамической силы кайта в подъемную и боковую силы и пропульсивную тягу судового кайта. Формализована процедура определения полезной тяги кайта фирмы SkySails.
