PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH: INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH: INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Abstract

The article highlights the issue of professional competence of preschool teachers in the context of modern educational transformations. The author emphasises the growing relevance of this problem due to changes in society, the development of pedagogical science and the requirements for the quality of preschool education. Various aspects of preschool teachers’ competence are considered, including its essence, main components (deep understanding of child development processes, ability to develop and implement educational programmes, effective teaching methods and assessment of preschoolers’ achievements) and influence on the quality of the educational process. The modern approaches to the formation of professional competence of preschool teachers are analysed, taking into account such factors as inclusive education, digital technologies and pedagogical partnership, development of research skills. The model “Seven Competencies of Teachers of the XXI Century” and its application in preschool education in foreign countries are described. This model offers a comprehensive approach to the formation of professional competence of preschool teachers. The international experience of training preschool teachers in Austria, New Zealand, Singapore, Finland, and Sweden is highlighted, both common features and significant differences are identified. Each country has its own peculiarities of teacher training, which reflects the diversity of cultural, social and educational contexts. The results of a bibliometric study are presented, which allowed us to assess the dynamics of scientific publications on the competence of teachers and to identify the most influential journals and research groups. Based on the analysis, the author concludes that there is a need for continuous development and improvement of the professional competence of preschool teachers, and suggests ways to improve the quality of training and professional development of teaching staff, taking into account modern requirements and trends in the development of preschool education.
