HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IN TRANSITION SOCIETY: STATUS AND TRENDS

Abstract

This work is dedicated to the social processes accompanying the Health Reform in Moldova. The authors analyze the materials of four representative sociological studies held in Moldova in 2001–2009 on the basis of national representative sample. The researches dealt with the stereotypes of population concerning their health and use of medical service. The article reveals such social factors that influence the state of health in conditions of Moldova and the relations between the doctor and the patient. The analysis of the behavior at the labor market was made in connection with the social and demographic characteristics of population in urban and rural areas. The article provides the study of public opinion on the occasion of health care system reforming in accordance with the standards of developed countries. The dynamics of public opinion is traced, the arising problems are revealed.

В статті аналiзуютъся матеріали чотирьoх соцiологiчних дослiдженъ, проведених у Молдові в 2001, 2003, 2006 i 2009 роках за національною репрезентативною вибіркою. Розглядаються стереотипи поведінки населення по вiдношенню до свого здоров’я, користування медичними послугами. Виявляються соцiальнi фактори, якi впливають на стан здоров’я населення в умовах сучасної Молдови. Аналіз поведінки на ринку медичних послуг проводиться в площині соціальних, демографічних та поселенських групп. Наводяться результати вивчення громадської думки мешканців республіки з приводу перебудови системи охорони здоров’я, простежується динаміка громадської думки, виявляються проблеми реалiзацii реформи.

В статье анализируются материалы четырех социологических исследований, проведенных в Молдове в 2001, 2003, 2006 и 2009 годах, по национальной репрезентативной выборке. Рассматриваются стереотипы поведения населения в отношении к здоровью, использованию медицинских услуг. Определяются социальные факторы, которые влияют на состояние здоровья населения современной Молдовы. Анализ поведения на рынке медицинских услуг проводится на основе выборки различных социальных групп, демографических и поселенческих и т. д. На основе результатов, полученных при изучении общественного мнения, показаны проблемы в реализации реформ.
