Experience of conservative treatment of nodular goiters with plant preparations

Experience of conservative treatment of nodular goiters with plant preparations

Abstract

Questions of preventing trace elementoses, causing pathologies of the thyroid gland, have been reviewed. A regime of treating the nodules of the thyroid gland, envisaging the use of extracts of the herb Potentilla alba and Barba-iodine produced from the Black Sea alga Cystosira, is presented. The effectiveness of this method for the prophylaxis of iodine-deficiency diseases and for the treatment of nodules in non-operated patients and after operative treatment is proved.
