Today, family in Ukraine needs special attention, social support, and aid. War, uncertainty, and all the consequences of armed attack on our country have an impact on the proper functioning of families and deplete their resources. Social work with the family provides valuation of needs and accounting of all features of family, ability to function, searching optimal ways to support and empowerment. It is important to understand what is socially vulnerable family in Ukraine to account for all its needs during social help and service. Today, the most socially vulnerable groups are internally displaced persons, combatants; families with risk to abandon a child; families with a person with disability; families that have domestic violence. Understanding of family situation, the impact of complex life circumstances on the family's productiveness is part of successful case management in social work with families. Our research aims to characterize the types and specifics of socially vulnerable families in Ukraine. Methods of research: analyses of scientific research, legislative, statistics, annual experience by the theme. The results of research analysis of different scientific sources in ability is to mark some categories of socially vulnerable families, which needs more attention from social workers. Internally displaced families suffer by leaving home, and combatant families are in everyday stress because of fear of the life of the members of their family and need psychological support. Women who want to abandon their child in a maternity hospital, don’t know how to be a mother and need crisis intervention and social support. Families of people with disabilities struggle with isolation and the inability to provide basic needs.

Сучасна сім’я в Україні потребує особливої уваги та соціальної підтримки. Війна, невизначеність та всі наслідки збройного нападу на нашу країну впливають на повноцінне функціонування родини, виснажують її ресурс. Соціальна робота з сім’єю передбачає оцінку потреб та врахування всіх особливостей сім’ї, спроможність виконувати основні свої функції, пошук оптимальних шляхів підтримки та наснаження. Важливо розуміти, якою є соціально вразлива сім’я сьогодні, щоб врахувати всі її потреби при наданні соціальної допомоги та послуг. Сьогодні особливо соціально вразливими є сім’ї внутрішньо переміщених осіб (страждають від травми покинутого дому, відчувають невпевненість та втрачають стабільність), учасників бойових дій (перебувають у постійному стресі та страху за життя), сім’ї, де є ризик відмови від дитини (порушення системи батьківсько-дитячих відносин), в яких проживає особа з інвалідністю (страждають від ізольованості та неспроможності самостійно забезпечити власні потреби), в яких є ситуація домашнього насильства (відчувають небезпеку та втрату базової потреби у захисті). Розуміння сімейної ситуації, впливу складних життєвих обставин на продуктивність сім’ї це складова успішного ведення випадку в соціальній роботі. Метою нашого дослідження стало охарактеризувати типи та особливості соціально вразливої сім’ї в Україні. Методи дослідження: аналіз наукової літератури, законодавства, статистики, практичного досвіду з досліджуваної теми.
