FEATURES OF TEACHING THE DISCIPLINE “MODERN SOFTWARE” IN THE CONTEXT OF TRAINING BACHELORS IN THE SPECIALTY INFORMATION, LIBRARY AND ARCHIVAL AFFAIRS

Abstract

The experience of teaching the discipline “Modern Software” in the process of training bachelors of specialty 029 Information, Library and Archival Affairs by the Department of Social Communications and Information Activity of Lviv Polytechnic National University is considered. The article outlines the professional, general program competencies and learning outcomes that should be formed in the subjects of the educational process while studying the discipline. The purpose, tasks and structure of the discipline are presented. The peculiarities of the discipline and its place in the system of professional training of bachelors of specialty 029 Information, Library and Archival Affairs are described. The peculiarities of teaching the theoretical component of the content of the discipline “Modern Software” are outlined, and the ways of mastering the practical component are presented. The features of the assessment of discipline “Modern Software” are presented. The peculiarities according to which the educational and methodological support of the discipline should be developed are presented. The topics of 8 laboratory works covering various aspects of modern software are presented. The tasks of the laboratory works of the discipline “Modern Software” and the peculiarities of their implementation are detailed. It is noted that the implementation of the presented features of the educational and methodological support for the study of the discipline “Modern Software” in the context of training specialists in the specialty 029 Information, Library and Archival Affairs allowed to realize the tasks set by the educational and professional program and adapt the study of the discipline, based on the specifics of the specialty and the peculiarities of the range of professional activities of the future specialist.

Стаття присвячена особливостям викладання дисципліни “Сучасне програмне забезпечення” в процесі підготовки бакалаврів спеціальності 029 “Інформаційна, бібліотечна та архівна справа” кафедрою соціальних комунікацій та інформаційної діяльності Національного університету “Львівська політехніка”. Окреслено фахові та загальні програмні результати навчання, компетентності, що повинні сформуватися в суб’єктів освітнього процесу під час опанування дисципліни. Репрезентовано мету, завдання, структуру дисципліни та особливості навчально-методичного супроводу. Наведено завдання лабораторних робіт до дисципліни “Сучасне програмне забезпечення”. Акцентовано на адаптованості лабораторних роботах до специфіки спеціальності, а також діапазону професійної діяльності бакалавра спеціальності 029 “Інформаційна, бібліотечна та архівна справа”.
