FAIRY TALE PEDAGOGY IN PRIMARY SCHOOL: EUROPEAN PRACTICES

Abstract

The article substantiates the theoretical and methodological essence of fairy tale pedagogy in primary school. The pedagogical essence of the primary school educational environment is analyzed. Its main characteristics are determined. It is established that fairy tale pedagogy is aimed at developing children's creative thinking, emotional intelligence, and social skills. Fairy tales become an integral part of the educational process thanks to interactivity, theatrical elements, and an emphasis on critical thinking. The role of fairy tale pedagogy in the formation of the personality of primary school students and the features of European practices of fairy tale pedagogy in primary school are considered. The technology of creating a corner of children's modern literature in primary school is described. The issue of the role of fairy tale pedagogy in the formation of the personality of primary school students and the peculiarities of European practices of fairy tale pedagogy in primary school are considered. The technology of creating a corner of children's modern literature in primary school is described. The main commonly used methods of European fairy tale pedagogy in primary education have been identified. They are the following: personified fairy tales, modern versions (mixed fairy tales), digitization of fairy tales, comic drawings, reader theater, thematic festivals, and excursions, fairy tale days, the fairy tale (library) corner, creating your own fairy tales, letters to favorite characters, retellings on behalf of a favorite character, elements of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning).

У статті обґрунтовано теоретико-методологічні основи казкопедагогіки в початковій школі. Проаналізовано педагогічну сутність освітнього середовища початкової школи, визначено його провідні характеристики. Встановлено, що казкопедагогіка спрямована на розвиток у дітей творчого мислення, емоційного інтелекту та соціальних навичок. Завдяки інтерактивності, театральним елементам й акценту на критичне мислення, казки стають невід’ємною частиною навчального процесу. Розглянуто особливості європейських практик казкопедагогіки в початковій школі; описано технологію створення куточка дитячої сучасної літератури у початковій школі.
