Abstract

Penser l'incarnation confronte immédiatement le théologien comme le philosophe à un paradoxe lié au mystère que ce phénomène déploie. En effet, la notion d'incarnation renvoie, dans la théologie johannique, à l'advenue du Verbe (logos) dans la chair (sarx) humaine. Dans la philosophie - et notamment dans la phénoménologie française et allemande - la chair (Leib) désigne ce qui excède et précède à la fois le corps et la conscience, signe de l'unicité indicible du sens et de la vie dont il procède. Penser le phénomène de la chair se faisant, se faisant logos, revient à tenter de saisir ou d'écrire une relation qui résiste à toute objectivation. Cependant, cette irréductibilité du phénomène au concept qui le recouvre ouvre la voie à une fécondité, tant philosophique que théologique, dont les répercussions anthropologiques et éthiques sont particulièrement d'actualité. Ce colloque international vise ainsi à croiser les perspectives philoosphiques et théologiques sur l'Incarnation afin d'ancrer explicitement les débats anthropologiques et éthiques contemporains dans l'horizon métaphysique dont ils procèdent.
