Tržište plaćenih televizija u Hrvatskoj

Abstract

Tržište plaćenih televizija se prema tehnologiji distribucije signala dijeli na satelitsku televiziju (SAT TV), IP televiziju (IPTV) te kabelsku televiziju. Na hrvatskom je tržištu plaćenih televizija prisutan velik broj operatera, a najjači su IPTV operater MaxTV (55% korisnika) te kabelska televizija B.Net (19% korisnika). Najjači satelitski operater Digi TV gubi tržišni udio, a taj je proces ubrzan ulaskom Max TV-a i B.Neta na tržište satelitske televizije. MaxTV je postigao dominantnu ulogu na tržištu IPTV-a, a B.Net je postigao gotovo monopolsku poziciju na tržištu kabelskih televizija. Oba tržišna igrača imaju tržišnu moć kojom znatno otežavaju opstanak konkurentima, prvi posjeduju gotovo svu potrebnu infratsrukturu za IPTV, a potonji su postigli poziciju prirodnoga monopola koju je gotovo nemoguće narušiti uslijed velikih troškova ulaska. Stoga se u budućnosti može očekivati dodatno okrupnjavanje ova dva igrača, istiskivanje manjih operatera te, u slučaju nedostatka nadzora i kontrole tržišta, povećanje cijena televizijskih usluga.
