Inventarizacija drvoreda u zagrebačkom naselju Retkovec

Abstract

In the period from May to June 2024, an inventory of tree-lined avenues was carried out in the area of the settlement Retkovec in the Dubrava Municipality of Zagreb. During the inventory, 21 microlocations with tree avenues were identified, where a total of 807 trees were recorded. A total of 22 taxa of tree species were identified, of which 12 were autochthonous, five allochthonous, four cultivars and one taxon was a hybrid. Species from the Malvaceae family were the most numerous (23.9 % of the total number of trees), followed by Sapindaceae (20 %), Betulaceae (19.6 %) and Platanaceae (16.9 %). The most common autochthonous species was the large-leaved linden (Tilia platyphyllos L.) with a total of 100 trees. The most common allochthonous species was Turkish hazel (Corylus colurna L.). Acer campestre 'Nanum' was the most common cultivar with 53 trees, while the London plane or sycamore (Platanus × acerifolia (Aiton) Willd.) was the only hybrid taxon with 136 specimens. Given the still relatively small number of tree avenues in the settlement Retkovec, it is recommended that new tree avenues be planted along the streets wherever possible.
