Abstract

According to the data of the World Bank, the number of people with disabilities in the world averages 15 percent. In 2013, representatives of the WHITE CANE NGO put forward the theory of extrability, which describes the additional abilities of people with disabilities, developing due to physical limitations. Extrability are unique abilities and skills that can act as competitive advantages for people with disabilities. The use and development of extrability in professional activities allows people with disabilities to occupy a competitive niche in the open labor market. Through participation in various social projects, people with and without disabilities have the opportunity to discover and realize these abilities.
