In an effort to understand the complex processes of modern Russian painting, the author turns to the culture of the "silver Age", finding a commonality of creative aspirations between these periods. Today, as well as more than a hundred years ago, the artistic and figurative awareness of the surrounding reality acquires complex, indefinite forms imbued with the personal experiences of the artist. Following the traditions of orientalism, which was developed at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, our contemporaries are passionate about the culture of the East. Often their paintings carry the symbolic principle of the image, trying to convey the power of emotions and feelings of the artist in the form of an encrypted artistic text.

В стремлении понять сложные процессы современной российской живописи автор обращается к культуре «серебряного века», находя между этими периодами общность творческих устремлений. Сегодня, как и более ста лет назад художественно-образное осознание окружающей действительности приобретает сложные, неопределенные формы, проникнутые личными переживаниями художника. Следуя традициям ориентализма, получившего развитие на рубеже 19 – 20 веков, наши современники увлечены культурой Востока. Зачастую их живописные произведения носят символический принцип изображения, пытаясь донести силу эмоций и чувств художника в виде зашифрованного художественного текста.
