Based on the analysis of the funds of the Department of military settlements the article presents information potential accounting documentation of this Agency of the Military Ministry, determined by the accounting materials of the first order such as annual reports, statistical atlases and descriptions, inspection reports for inspections. This documentation, as well as legal and regulatory materials, is the basis of development office management of the Department of military settlements. Quite a representative body reporting documentation allows you to explore Russian military settlements of the first half of the XIX century in micro- and macro-levels.

На основе анализа фондов Департамента военных поселений в статье представляется информационный потенциал отчетной документации данного ведомства Военного министерства, определяются отчетные материалы первого порядка – годовые отчеты, статистические атласы и описания, отчеты по инспекторским смотрам. Эта документация, как и законодательные и распорядительные материалы, составляет основу развития делопроизводственного корпуса департамента. Достаточно представительный корпус отчетной документации позволяет исследовать российские военные поселения первой половины XIX века на микро- и макро-уровнях.
