Abstract

The article analyzes representations of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance in the Soviet press from the second half of the 1960s to the first half of the 1980s. The analysis brings to light the key mechanisms of constructing the image of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance, its characteristics and functions in the system of foreign propaganda. The study relies on the materials of national and local newspapers (Pravda, Izvestia, Uralsky rabochy, Kamensky rabochy, Za tyazheloye mashinostroenie, etc.) and specialized journals (Voprosy ekonomiki, Vneshnyaya torgovlya).

В статье анализируется освещение деятельности Совета экономической взаимопомощи в советской прессе второй половины 1960-х – первой половины 1980-х гг. Рассматривается механизм конструирования образа СЭВ, его отличительные черты, функции этого образа в системе внешнеполитической пропаганды. Исследование выполнено на материалах центральных и местных газетных изданий («Правда», «Известия», «Уральский рабочий», «Каменский рабочий», «За тяжелое машиностроение» и др.), а также специализированных журналов («Вопросы экономики», «Внешняя торговля»).
