Translation of Advertising Slogans: Demanding Challenge

Abstract

The translation of advertising slogans is a demanding challenge for a consumer and a customer. This article presents the analysis of some difficulties that translators may face and considers options for the translation of advertising slogans. It is revealed that priority task of a translator is to keep the idea and intent of the advertising slogan during translation.

Перевод рекламных слоганов–это ответственная задача перед потребителем и заказчиком. Данная статья представляет анализ некоторых сложностей, с которыми могут столкнуться переводчики и рассматривает варианты развития перевода рекламных слоганов. Было выявлено, что сохранение идеи и замысла рекламного слогана при переводе является приоритетной задачей переводчика.
