Abstract

Economic sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation by "Western" countries create barriers to economic development both at the national level and at the level of the constituent entities of the Federation. The Republic of Crimea has also been affected by these sanctions. The example of Crimea can be used to examine how the subjects of the Russian Federation adapt to geopolitical realities, transforming their strategic planning to align with external circumstances.
