Abstract

The article deals with the problem of the ethno-cultural, regional and national identity of Italians, their interweaving, as well as the leading factors influencing the formation and development of these identities. Particular attention is paid to the linguistic factor (minority languages and dialects), the linguistic situation on the territory of the Italian state, as well as the problem of delineation of identities. This article presents the results of a survey conducted in 2021–2022 among Italian youth (generation Y), demonstrating the influence of dialect and other factors on the formation of identities.
