Abstract

The article covers the use of strikethrough text in political blogs as a mean of sham implicitness. The strikethrough text is analyzed in the context of volume, pragmatics and degree of its coherence with other texts. It is spoken in detail about the main causes of usage of the strikethrough text in blogs of the pro-Kremlin and opposition bloggers. The following conclusion is drawn: the opposition bloggers are more inclined to express irony and convey carnival sense of the politics.
