Abstract

Based on the developments of the consolidated annual reports of the state farms of the Tatar ASSR, the state of the material and technical base and personnel potential of Soviet farms, the development of the main branches of state farm production, their production of agricultural products and the delivery of these products to the state are studied. The study shows that the lowest point of reduction in agricultural production in the state farms of the TASSR was reached not in 1943, as it was in agriculture in the country as a whole, but only in 1944. The peculiarities of the state of state farm production in the region under study include a significant difference in the state of the branches of state farm production, which is especially noticeable when analyzing the results of the delivery of its products to the state. This evidences, apparently, a significant administrative pressure on farms and increased control over the distribution of products. The paper concludes that the importance of state farms for agriculture in Tatarstan during the Great Patriotic War was very small due to both the small number of state farms and the low power of their resource base.
