Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of William Golding's novel "The Inheritors", which is a deep philosophical reflection on the nature of human consciousness and its evolution, as well as the relationship between the development of consciousness and cultural progress. Through the depiction of Neanderthal life, the author explores fundamental questions about moral improvement, the evolution of consciousness, and the losses associated with the development of civilization.
