Abstract

The author, using quantitative history’s technique – content analysis, researches articles of «Ural worker» newspaper in 1934–1935. Also, the author categorizes articles into three groups depending on the emotional charge and analyses the correlation between them. The main unit of measurement is the headline of the article, which usually represents key content of the article. Finally author discovers main motivation in articles and make conclusions about content analysis as a history research’s method.
