Abstract

This study is aimed at finding an effective mechanism for collecting taxes on personal income. The method of comparative analysis was chosen as the main one, which makes it possible to better understand and compare the past, present and future of the progressive taxation system. In the course of the work, the main problems that the world community faced in the implementation of this system were identified. These problems helped to find the most correct approach to taxation of citizens and to determine the directions for improving the Russian tax system.
