
The research examines the issues of migration and migration policy in the Northern and Arctic regions of the Ural North, and presents a retrospective analysis of the migration process. Factors that influence and contribute to the migration turnover of the population were revealed. The study showed the role of the population and labour resources of the former Soviet republics and the republics of the North Caucasus in the formation of the migration flow in recent years, highlighting related interethnic problems. В статье рассмотрены вопросы миграции и миграционной политики в северных и арктических районах Уральского Севера. Выполнен ретроспективный анализ миграционного процесса. Выявлены причины, влияющие и способствующие миграционному обороту населения. Показана роль населения и трудовых ресурсов бывших советских республик и республик Северного Кавказа в формировании миграционного потока в последние годы и связанные с этим межэтнические проблемы. Предложены направления региональной миграционной политики.
