Abstract

Today, digitalization covers various areas of activity, including the non-profit sector. The social sphere, which, thanks to the state program, develops and implements digital information systems, has become advanced. The article aims to consider the advantages of working in the information system "Social Services for the Population" as a phenomenon of digitalization in the field of social sphere. The study provides an empirical assessment of the impact of the costs of maintaining this information system on the number of clients served, the number of social services and government spending on their provision. As a result of the study, the authors came to the conclusion that the digitalization of the process of accounting and documenting social services for the population is accompanied by an increase in the cost of providing social services, which leads to an increase in the number of recipients and an increase in the number of provision of these services.
