Abstract

Popular science cinema in the system of cinematography types is often brought closer to documentary cinema and is even considered as its genre; looks like a synonym scientific cinema and visual anthropology; and within the framework of the media system and television it is mixed with popular science TV movies and TV programs. The object of the study is popular science cinema; the subject is its species identification; the research methods are observation and comparative analysis. The article reveals the identity of popular science cinema.
