Abstract

This report deals with the problem of audiovisual translation. Translating subtitles from English to Russian is studied for the first time in the aspect of equilinearity, the principle of line-to-line equality, as it was put forward in the 20th century for poetry translation.

Данный доклад посвящен проблеме аудиовизуального перевода. Передача субтитров с английского языка на русский впервые исследуется в аспекте эквилинеарности — принципа построчного равенства, выдвинутого в XX веке применительно к переводу поэзии.
