Abstract

In calendar prose E. N. Opochinin shows that Christmas and Easter become a time of human trials when the duality of their nature is manifested. In Christmas stories the motive of salvation sounds which is associated with the situation of the spiritual insight of the hero. In Easter stories the hero moves towards agreement with others, towards collegiality through the situation of trial. The immersion of the hero in sacred time is the culmination of the stories.
