Descompressão de cisto radicular associado à cirurgia paraendodôntica: Relato de caso

Abstract

Resumo O cisto radicular é um cisto de origem odontogénica causado por um processo inflamatório associado a dentes com diagnóstico de necrose pulpar. São os cistos mais comuns dos maxilares. A terapia inicial de eleição é o tratamento endodôntico do dente acometido. Contudo, em casos de insucesso, outras alternativas de tratamento devem ser consideradas. Entre as alternativas existem alguns tipos de cirurgia paraendodôntica que devem ser indicados de acordo com o diagnóstico do dente envolvido. Outra técnica para tratamento dos cistos é a descompressão, que pode ser utilizada para redução ou regressão completa da lesão e para conservação de estruturas nobres adjacentes. Esse relato de caso, com acompanhamento de dois anos, tem como objetivo apresentar a terapia de um cisto radicular em íntimo contato com o canal mandibular, por meio da cirurgia paraendodôntica e descompressão da lesão como método alternativo para preservação da inervação do nervo alveolar inferior.
