Abstract

Les bâtiments existants sont précieux à plusieurs titres. En les construisant, les femmes et les hommes y ont mis leur intelligence, leur labeur, leurs valeurs. Leur construction a pollué et consommé des ressources prises sur la nature. En les habitant, nous les avons chargé d’émotions, de mémoire, de repères. Alors faut-il encore démolir pour reconstruire ? Comment tirer le meilleur parti de cette ressource exceptionnelle ?Cet ouvrage, troisième et dernier tome consacré aux ressources pour l’architecture écologique, explore la façon dont l’intervention sur le bâti existant constitue désormais la situation de référence pour penser l’architecture de demain. Il montre les défis et opportunités d’une relation à l’existant qui lui attribue de nouvelles valeurs, tout en étant plus à l’écoute de ses qualités intrinsèques.Chercheurs, pédagogues, architectes et ingénieurs étudient ici les implications de cette posture en matière d’enseignement, de pratique professionnelle, de stratégie territoriale et réglementaire. Cet ouvrage a ainsi vocation à croiser les regards pour questionner nos modèles, inspirer et fournir des bases pour une architecture qui se réapproprie ses créations passées comme posture essentiellement écologique.
