Abstract

The article briefly discusses the problems of the current state of the economy of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the ongoing and forecasted global civilization processes that affect its development. The formation ofa new breakthrough IT-sector of the economy in Minsk agglomeration, a combination ofhigh-tech industrial parks, technology parks, clusters and other entities, integrated as a single IT-system of engineering and transport infrastructure is proposed as a strategic initiative.
