Abstract

In adolescence, the transition to adulthood occurs, when young people should learn how to customize themselves and their inner world in a unique way or the purpose of successful adaptation. This problem can be determined by teaching young people mature defense mechanisms, forming independence based on conscious actions as a voluntary process of activity of an integral personality. The article discusses the peculiarities of the functioning of psychological defense mechanisms, their specificity in adolescence. The study showed that the majority of adolescent subjects are involved in awareness of their defense mechanisms.
