Uloga Metasearch portala u hotelskoj prodaji

Abstract

Razvoj interneta omogućio je da se hotelske rezervacije obavljaju na brži i lakši način, te da se lakše pronalaze informacije i recenzije željene destinacije ili hotela. Hotelijeri se mogu oglašavati preko gotovo svih portala i društvenih mreža, a mogu kreirati i vlastite mrežne stranice. Ovo je vrlo važno za turizam i hotelijerstvo jer su potražnja i ponuda odvojene i najčešće se putuje u druge zemlje ili krajeve. Gotovo sve faze planiranja turističkog putovanja se danas događaju online - od traženja smještaja do trenutka same rezervacije. U tome sudjeluju razne internet-stranice koje uključuju mrežnu stranicu hotela, online putničke agencije, društvene mreže i metasearch portale. Online putničke agencije su najčešće prva stranica svim putnicima koji žele istražiti opcije i napraviti rezervaciju, međutim, njih ima mnogo a rezultati su različiti. Tu nastupaju metasearch portali koji sakupljaju rezultate iz online putničkih ili turističkih agencija i prikazuju ih na jednom mjestu i olakšavaju proces donošenja odluke.
