Microorganisms have an important role in the life of all living beings. The aim of this work is to show the importance of the action of microorganisms in the life of animals, both from the positive and from the negative side. Positive role would be to protect the organisms as in humans. Perhaps, the most important benefit of microorganisms is the decomposition of food in the rumen and the regulation of the digestive tract of ruminants. Therefore, the emphasis of this work will be on the enzymology of individual bacteria, protozoa and fungi in the life of ruminants. The negative role is played by pathogenic microorganisms that cause zoonosis caused by various bacteria, then mycoses and mycotoxicosis caused by molds and viruses, which have been the most common in the last decade.
