Grčki bogovi - porijeklo i razvitak

Abstract

U ovom radu govorit će se o porijeklu, razvitku, karakterima i značenju bogova u životima starih Grka. Većina grčkih bogova nisu izvorno Grčki. Njihovo porijeklo nalazimo većinom na Kreti i u Maloj Aziji odakle su ih Grci preuzeli i prilagodili sebi te ih širili na prostoru tadašnje Grčke. Grčka mitologija, u kojoj je opisana plejada bogova, jedna je od najprilagodljivijih koje svijet poznaje. Prije svega važno je naglasiti kako su mitovi posebne vrste priča o iznimnim likovima koji žive u svijetu koji je katkad prepun čarolije. Većina ih je smještena u vrijeme koje se ne može izmjeriti satom. Grčki se mitovi ne usredotočuju na postanak stvari. Većina ih se događa nakon postanka svijeta, a bogovi, kao i njihovi neprijatelji, već imaju svoja mjesta. Usredotočuju se na ovdje i sada u životu bogova, govore o nadama, razočaranjima, prijevarama i preobrazbama. Mjesta radnje nisu sveta mjesta, a radnja se događa između bogova koji su skloni pogreškama, koji su temperamentni, iracionalni, ponosni, kao što su to i obični ljudi. Bogovi grčkog mita puno su bliži čovjeku, nego su to bogovi drugih mitologija, a samim time ljudi su ih rado štovali.
