Урбанизация и этнодемографические процессы на Украине в конце XIX – начале ХХI в.

Abstract

Этнические процессы на Украине в конце XIX – начале ХХI в. рассматриваются как часть процесса индустриализации территории Юга Европейской России (СССР). Прослеживается приток сельского населения в города и растущие транспортные, промышленные, торговые и культурно-образовательные центры. Попадавшие в города с преобладающим русским и еврейским населением воспринимали русский язык общения и общерусскую культуру, постепенно меняя свою идентичность с украинской на русскую. Этот естественный процесс не могла остановить официально проводившаяся в советское время политика поддержки украинского языка и культуры. Тенденции усиливал также приезд русских специалистов и рабочих на индустриальные объекты Украины и отъезд специалистов из Украины в другие республики. Наиболее интенсивно процесс шёл в индустриальных регионах юга и востока Украины, где и сформировалось русскоязычное большинство населения, что и обусловило цивилизационный разлом Украины на русский юго-восток и украинский северо-запад.
