О деве, представлявшейся безумной: фольклорные истоки формирования образа юродивой в Лавсаике Палладия

Abstract

Рассматривается проблема генезиса образа юродивой в Лавсаике Палладия. Использована методологическая оптика А.М. Панченко и О.М. Фрейденберг. Повествование о юродивой происходит из низовой культуры верхнеегипетского монашества, и поэтому основано на фольклорных паттернах. Заключается, что униженный статус и безумное поведение юродивой воспринимается современниками как семантическая метафора народного календарного божества, как знак приобщенности к потусторонней высшей истине и обещания спасения коллектива.
