Abstract

Оценивается состояние отношений между США и Европейским экономическим сообществом (ЕЭС) в 1969-1972 гг. Анализируются экономические трения между США и ЕЭС, приводится их оценка американскими правящими кругами; рассматриваются усилия обеих сторон, направленные на смягчение противоречий. Делается вывод, что обеспокоенность США в связи с назревающим кризисом в отношениях с ЕЭС подтолкнула администрацию Р. Никсона к выдвижению инициативы, известной как «год Европы»
