Abstract

There is a number of sorbents on the water purification market to remove arsenic ions from the water. The relevance of this work is to study the comparative sorption characteristics of various modern sorption materials (including the carbon sorbent Blucher GmbH, Bayoxide E 33HC, the sorbent based on vermiculite concrete modified with iron oxyhydroxide) upon the recovery of As (III) ions from the aqueous solution. The specific surface area and specific volume of pores wee determined for tested materials.
