Abstract

The nonlocal Gross-Pitaevskii equation describing the expansion of the Bose-Einstein in the ringshaped trap potential is studied in a semiclassical approximation. The first-order Hamilton-Ehrenfest system for the semiclassically concentrated solutions of the given Gross-Pitaevskii equation is considered. The correspondence between the solutions of the Hamilton-Ehrenfest system and the numerical solutions of the initial Gross-Pitaevskii equation is shown. The remarks about the applicability of the semiclassical approximation to the considered problem are given.
