Abstract

Toplum bilimleri, tarih, ahlak, siyaset ve sanat felsefesi gibi disiplinleri içine alan genel bir kavramdır. İnsanlığın bugün ulaştığı gelişim seviyesine parelel olarak toplum bilimleri günümüzde eskiye göre çok daha önem kazanmıştır. İslam dünyasında bilimsel açıdan toplum bilimerin temellendirilmesine ve geliştirilmesine öncülük eden en önemli filozof ve bilgin hiç şüphesiz Farabi’dir. Farabi’nin toplum bilmine olan katkılarını, onun özellikle ahlak, siyaset ve genel kültürle ilgili yazmış olduğu eserlerinde bulmaktayız.
