Abstract

Kubernetes és una plataforma de codi obert desenvolupada per a la gestió de càrregues de treball en contenidors. Aquesta tecnologia és una part essencial per al desenvolupament i desplegament d'aplicacions modernes, sent els professionals experts en el seu ús molt valorats en el mercat laboral. El desplegament de Kubernetes implica la configuració d'un clúster compost per diverses màquines, un procés que pot resultar costós per a aquells amb pressupostos limitats i desafiador per a usuaris sense experiència. Aquesta tesi de llicenciatura pretén desenvolupar un entorn rendible, en el qual els principiants en Kubernetes puguin aplicar els seus coneixements. El següent informe proporciona una explicació detallada sobre com s'ha aconseguit aquest objectiu, al mateix temps que garanteix una comprensió global del projecte oferint el context necessari de les tecnologies utilitzades.

Kubernetes es una plataforma de código abierto desarrollada para la gestión de cargas de trabajo en contenedores. Esta tecnología es una parte esencial para el desarrollo y despliegue de aplicaciones modernas, siendo los profesionales expertos en su uso muy valorados en el mercado laboral. El despliegue de Kubernetes implica la configuración de un clúster compuesto por varias máquinas, un proceso que puede resultar costoso para aquellos con presupuestos limitados y desafiante para usuarios sin experiencia. Esta tesis de licenciatura pretende desarrollar un entorno rentable, en el que los principiantes en Kubernetes puedan aplicar sus conocimientos. El siguiente informe proporciona una explicación detallada sobre cómo se ha logrado este objetivo, al tiempo que garantiza una comprensión global del proyecto ofreciendo el contexto necesario de las tecnologías utilizadas.

Kubernetes is an open-source platform developed for containerized workload management. This technology is an essential part for modern applications development and deployment, being professionals skilled in its use highly valued in the job market. The deployment of Kubernetes involves setting-up a cluster composed by several machines, a process that may be expensive for those with limited budgets and challenging for non-experienced users. This bachelor’s thesis aims to develop a cost-efficient environment, in which Kubernetes beginners can apply their knowledge. The following report provides a detailed explanation on how this objective has been achieved, while also ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the project by offering the necessary context of the used technologies.
