Abstract

L'aloe Barbadensis Miller, utilisé depuis des milliers d'années en médecine traditionnelle, de par la composition riche de son gel et de son latex est connu pour ses propriétés antiseptiques, antioxydantes, anti-inflammatoires, cicatrisantes, immunostimulantes. Récemment, de nombreuses études portant sur son intérêt en pratique bucco-dentaire ont été effectuées : lutte contre la gingivite ou la parodontite en parodontologie, cicatrisation post-extractionnelle, régénération parodontale, agent désinfectant en restauratrice, médicament intracanalaire en endodontie, guérison du lichen plan oral, des mucites radio-induites, des aphtes, milieu de conservation pour dent expulsée... Cet ouvrage a pour but de faire le point sur ses différentes applications dans la sphère bucco-dentaire.
