Abstract

The article is dedicated to the important methodological problem of studying large social groups in conditions of the super-complex reality of the post-industrial and information society. The large group attributes identified in the classical social psychology are studied. The author suggests the «atypical group» concept which is more consistent with the post-non-classical rationality. The article presents a gnoseological model which enables studying the heterophenomenal nature of group consciousness. The author illustrates the possibility of this model application with the example of studying the group consciousness of Russian intellectuals
