The issue of identifying different levels of expression of self-presentation tactics and their relationship with motivation among students of various professional training is considered. The results of the research conducted at the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University were presented. In the course of the study the «Scale of measurement of selfpresentation tactics» by S. Li and B. Quigley in the adaptation of O. A. Pikulova and testquestionnaire «Motivation of success and motivation of fear of failure» by A. Reana were applied. Statistically significant differences in the manifestation of self-presentation tactics and motivation among first, second and third year students were revealed.
