
The article analyzes urgent problems of teacher education in the context of higher school development in market conditions. It indicates the importance of the teacher training sector in the education system, analyzes the main trends in the development of pedagogical education, as well as the attitude to it on the social micro and macro levels. The author focuses on the need to create a rational concept of pedagogical education development, to define its place and role in the system of higher education and in the life of society as a whole
